How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Turn off breaker for 5 minutes, then restore. If F7 returns without pressing keys, suspect keypad or board.
- Check for spills: Remove the control panel cover and inspect for liquid intrusion or corrosion on the back of the touch panel and connectors. Dry thoroughly if damp.
- Ribbon cable: Unplug and reseat the keypad ribbon cable. Inspect for cracks or burn marks.
- Isolate fault: If possible, power the unit with keypad disconnected. Persistent F7 suggests a bad control board; no code suggests a bad keypad.
- Replace faulty assembly: Install a new GE-compatible touchpad or full control panel assembly as required.
