Possible Causes
Non-magnetic cookware, Pan too small or warped, Failed induction power board, Faulty pan sensor coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before opening the cooktop. Induction circuits use high-frequency power.
- Check cookware: Ensure the pan is induction-compatible (magnet sticks firmly to bottom), flat, and covers the marked cooking zone.
- Try another zone: Test the same pan on a different induction zone. If it works elsewhere, the original zone has a hardware fault.
- Reset cooktop: Turn off the breaker for 1 minute, restore, and test again.
- Internal repair: If one zone consistently fails, the corresponding induction power module or coil may be defective and should be replaced as a matched GE part.
