Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Faulty door switch, Failed light relay on control board, Corroded bulb socket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before replacing bulbs or working on wiring. Use only oven-rated bulbs.
- Replace bulb: Remove the light cover inside the oven, unscrew the bulb, and install a new GE-compatible oven bulb.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch plunger by hand; if the light flickers or never comes on, test switch continuity and replace if faulty.
- Socket inspection: Check for corrosion or heat damage at the bulb socket. Replace the socket if needed.
- Control board: If the bulb, socket, and switch are good, the control board light relay may have failed and require replacement.
