Possible Causes
Aging oven sensor, Control calibration drift, Poor rack placement or airflow, Door not sealing properly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution when working in a hot oven.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven thermometer in the center of the oven and run at 350°F for 20–30 minutes. Compare average reading to set temperature.
- Adjust calibration: Many GE models allow temperature adjustment in the settings menu (e.g., +/- 35°F). Follow the user manual to calibrate.
- Check door seal: Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if damaged.
- Sensor replacement: If calibration cannot correct large errors, replace the oven temperature sensor.
