Possible Causes
Open bake element, Burned wire to bake element, Failed bake relay on control board, Loose element terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and verify the oven is cool.
- Visual inspection: Look at the bake element for blisters, cracks, or burn-through spots. Any visible damage means it should be replaced.
- Continuity test: Remove the element mounting screws, pull it forward, disconnect wires, and test for continuity with a multimeter. An open reading indicates a bad element.
- Check wiring: Inspect wires at the element terminals for burns or loose connections. Repair as needed.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the bake relay on the EOC may have failed. Replace the control board.
