Possible Causes
Drifted oven temperature sensor, Faulty mechanical thermostat, Poor contact in sensor wiring, Miscalibrated electronic control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the rear of the oven or control panel.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven thermometer in the center of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the set temperature over several cycles.
- Check sensor resistance: For sensor-equipped models, measure the oven sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Glem Gas specifications. Replace if out of range.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure sensor wires and connectors are secure and not heat-damaged.
- Thermostat replacement: On models with a mechanical thermostat, replace the thermostat if temperature swings are large or the knob position does not match actual temperature.
- Control calibration: Some electronic controls allow offset calibration in the user menu. Adjust within the allowed range if the error is small.
