Possible Causes
Tripped thermal cut-out (safety thermostat), Faulty function selector switch, Loose wiring at terminal block, Failed electronic oven control relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power before removing rear or top panels.
- Check power supply: Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped and that the terminal block connections are tight and not burnt.
- Inspect thermal cut-out: Locate the oven safety thermostat (usually on the top of the oven cavity). Some have a manual reset button; press it if present.
- Test selector switch: With a multimeter, check continuity through the function selector in various positions. Replace if open where it should be closed.
- Control board relays: On models with electronic control, inspect the board for burnt heater relays. Replace the board if relays are damaged or not energizing.
- Re-test: After repairs, restore power and test each oven function.
