Possible Causes
Loose harness between touch panel and main board, Failed touch control PCB, Contaminated or wet touch keypad surface, Main control board logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range or cooktop from mains power by switching off the circuit breaker or unplugging. Do not work on live circuits.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. Sometimes E0 clears after a full reset.
- Check for moisture/contamination: Wipe the glass touch area with a soft dry cloth. If liquid has spilled, remove power for several hours to allow the touch panel to dry completely.
- Inspect wiring harness: Remove the front control panel (usually by removing screws under the front lip or side trims). Locate the ribbon cable or harness between the touch panel and the main control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and not corroded or burnt.
- Visual inspection of boards: Check the touch control PCB and main control board for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or swollen capacitors. If damage is visible, the board should be replaced rather than repaired in the field.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and test all keys. If E0 persists after reseating connections and drying, the touch control PCB is usually the failed component.
- When to call a technician: If you are not comfortable removing the control panel or if the main control board appears damaged, contact an authorized Glem Gas service center.
