Possible Causes
Incorrect mains voltage supplied to appliance, Loose terminal block connections, Damaged power cord, Internal power supply circuit failure on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the circuit breaker and verify power is off before opening any panels. Mains voltage can be lethal.
- Verify supply voltage: For electric cooktops, confirm that the supply matches the rating plate (e.g. 220–240 V). Use a multimeter only if you are trained; otherwise, have an electrician check.
- Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover to access the terminal block where the power cord connects. Look for loose screws, burnt insulation, or discoloration. Tighten loose terminals and replace any burnt connectors.
- Check power cord: Inspect the cord for cuts, overheating, or stiffness near the plug or strain relief. Replace the cord set if damaged.
- Internal board check: If external connections are good, the internal low-voltage power supply on the main control board may be faulty. Look for burnt components or a blown track. In most cases, replace the main control board rather than attempting component-level repair.
- Reset and test: After corrections, restore power and see if E1 clears. If the code returns immediately, discontinue use and arrange professional service.
