Possible Causes
Shorted induction coil, Failing IGBT or power transistor on module, Incorrect cookware causing unstable load, Loose wiring between coil and power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker. Induction modules contain high-voltage capacitors that can retain charge; do not touch internal components unless qualified.
- Check cookware: Ensure you are using flat-bottomed, induction-compatible cookware of the correct size. Avoid warped or very small pans on large zones.
- Power reset: After turning off power for 10 minutes, restore and test with a different pan on the same zone.
- Inspect wiring (advanced): Remove the cooktop from the worktop and open the underside cover. Check the wiring from the affected induction coil to the power module for loose connectors or burnt insulation.
- Coil inspection: Look for cracks, burn marks, or broken windings on the induction coil. A damaged coil must be replaced.
- Module replacement: If wiring and coil appear intact but E3 persists, the power module (IGBT board) is likely defective. Replacement should be done by an authorized Glem Gas technician due to calibration and safety considerations.
