Possible Causes
Open-circuit induction coil, Broken coil wiring, Faulty current sensor on power module, Loose coil mounting screws causing poor coupling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate from mains and wait for internal capacitors to discharge before touching the power module.
- Visual inspection: Remove the cooktop and open the underside. Inspect the induction coil for cracks, burn marks, or detached leads.
- Check coil connections: Ensure the coil terminals are firmly screwed or plugged into the power module. Tighten any loose connections.
- Resistance check (advanced): Measure the resistance of the coil with a multimeter; it should be very low but not open (exact values depend on model). An open reading indicates a broken coil.
- Replace defective coil: If the coil is open or physically damaged, replace it with the correct Glem Gas induction coil assembly.
- Module fault: If the coil is good, the current sensing circuit on the power module may be defective and the module should be replaced by a technician.
