Possible Causes

Failed oven temperature sensor (NTC), Shorted sensor wiring, Stuck bake or grill relay on control board, Cooling fan not operating on models with forced cooling

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power and allow the oven to cool completely before working on it.

  • Check for obvious overheating: Inspect the oven cavity and top panel for signs of excessive heat or melted components.
  • Test oven sensor: Locate the temperature sensor probe inside the oven (usually at the rear wall). From the rear of the range, disconnect the sensor harness and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with Glem Gas specifications (commonly around 1–1.1 kΩ at 20–25°C for some sensors).
  • Inspect wiring: Check the sensor wires for damage or shorts to the oven chassis.
  • Cooling fan check: On models with a cooling fan, verify that the fan runs during high-temperature operation. If not, test and replace the fan motor or fan thermostat as needed.
  • Control board relays: If the sensor is within spec, the bake or grill relay on the control board may be stuck closed, causing overheating. Replace the electronic oven control if relay failure is suspected.
