How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before testing the sensor.
- Access sensor: Remove the rear panel of the range to access the oven temperature sensor connector.
- Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated in the harness. Reseat if loose.
- Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, measure its resistance at room temperature. An infinite reading indicates an open sensor that must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring: If the sensor tests good, inspect the harness from the sensor to the control board for breaks or burns, especially near hot areas.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the oven temperature sensor or repair/replace the harness as needed. If wiring and sensor are good, the control board may be defective.
