Glem Gas
Poor Gas Flow or Ignition Positioning
Gas burner clicks but does not light, or lights only after several attempts

Possible Causes
Clogged burner cap or ports, Misaligned burner cap, Low gas pressure or partially closed gas tap, Dirty or cracked spark electrode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the burner OFF and allow components to cool. Close the gas supply if removing burner parts.
- Check gas supply: Ensure the main gas valve is fully open and that other gas appliances work normally.
- Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Clean all ports with a soft brush and a wooden toothpick (never use hard metal that can enlarge holes). Ensure the central opening is clear.
- Align cap: Refit the burner head and cap correctly on the base so they sit flat and centered over the electrode.
- Inspect electrode: Check that the spark electrode is not cracked and is positioned close (2–4 mm) to the burner edge. Clean it gently with a non-abrasive pad.
- Test ignition: Restore gas and ignite. If the burner still struggles to light, have a technician check gas pressure and regulator sizing for your Glem Gas model.
