Electric oven in Gorenje range does not heat in bake mode, but grill may still work.

Safety first: Switch off power at the breaker and verify the oven is cold.

• Visual check: Remove the oven racks and inspect the bottom element (may be hidden under the oven floor on some models). Look for blisters, cracks, or breaks.
• Access terminals: Pull the range out and remove the rear panel to access the bake element terminals. Check for burned or loose connectors.
• Test resistance: Disconnect the element and measure its resistance. An infinite reading indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• Check control output: If the element is good, a technician should test whether the control board sends power to the bake element when bake is selected. If not, the relay or control board is faulty.

Note: Always replace damaged terminals or wires along with the element to prevent future overheating.
