Induction cooktop displays E2 and the affected zone will not heat.

Safety first: Disconnect the hob from mains. Induction modules contain high-voltage capacitors that can retain charge; servicing should be done by trained personnel.

• Basic user checks: Confirm that the error appears only on one zone and that other zones work normally. This helps isolate the fault to a specific coil/module.
• Visual inspection (for technicians): Remove the hob from the worktop and take off the bottom cover. Inspect the suspect coil for burn marks or broken windings. Check the power module for burned components or cracked solder joints.
• Test continuity: Measure resistance of the induction coil; an open circuit indicates a failed coil. Check for shorts to ground.
• Replace defective parts: Replace the faulty induction coil or the entire power module as per Gorenje’s service instructions.
