Possible Causes
Contamination or liquid on glass over slider, damaged touch sensor PCB, faulty connection between UI and main board, firmware error in Gorenje hob control
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the hob off and wait until the surface is cool.
- Clean the surface: Wipe the glass panel thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth to remove any spills, sugar, or grease. Dry completely.
- Power reset: Switch off the hob at the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power to reset the electronics.
- Check for physical damage: Inspect the glass over the slider area for cracks. Cracked glass can affect touch sensitivity and must be replaced.
- Service the UI: If E4 persists, the touch control PCB or its ribbon cable may be defective. These components are located directly under the glass and should be replaced as an assembly according to Gorenje service procedures.
Warning: Do not pour water directly on the control area; always use a damp cloth.
