Possible Causes
Failure of main control board, communication bus error between UI and power modules, corrupted firmware, low-voltage power supply failure on Gorenje hob
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the hob at the mains.
- Power cycle: Leave the hob disconnected for at least 5 minutes, then restore power. Sometimes E6 clears after a full reset.
- Check wiring harnesses: For technicians, remove the hob and inspect all harnesses between the user interface board and power modules. Reseat connectors.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burned components or damaged tracks on the main control PCB.
- Replace control board: If no external cause is found and E6 persists, the main control board must be replaced and, if required, programmed according to Gorenje procedures.
Warning: Internal board-level repairs are not recommended; replace the entire board.
