Possible Causes

Aging or drifting NTC temperature sensor, intermittent sensor harness connection, corroded connector at control board, faulty analog-to-digital input on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the mains before removing any panels.

  • Visual inspection: Remove the oven racks and locate the sensor at the rear wall. Check that the sensor is not coated with heavy grease or carbon deposits; gently clean with a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
  • Check connections: Pull the oven forward (for built-in models) and remove the top or rear cover to access the control board. Verify the sensor connector is fully seated and free of corrosion.
  • Compare actual vs. displayed temperature: With the oven reassembled and powered, place an accurate oven thermometer inside and set the oven to 180°C. If the oven is significantly cooler or hotter than displayed and F3 appears, the sensor or control is misreading.
  • Replace suspect parts: If the sensor resistance is out of spec or unstable when gently wiggled, replace the oven temperature sensor. If the sensor is stable but readings are still wrong, replace the electronic oven control.

Note: Calibration options in the user menu (if available) can correct small offsets but will not fix an F3 fault caused by hardware failure.
