Possible Causes
Moisture on glass touch panel, damaged touch sensor PCB, loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, electrostatic discharge damage to keypad controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains before removing the control panel.
- Dry the panel: If the error appeared after cleaning or a spill, wipe the glass panel dry and leave the oven powered off for several hours to allow internal moisture to evaporate.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front control panel (usually held by screws from the top or inside the door area). Check the flat ribbon cable between the touch panel and the control board for kinks, corrosion, or partial insertion. Reseat it carefully.
- Clean contacts: If accessible, gently clean the ribbon contacts with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
- Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and test each key. If F7 persists or some keys do not respond, the touch panel assembly is likely defective and must be replaced.
Note: Avoid using excessive water or abrasive cleaners on the touch panel; this can damage the sensor layers.
