Gorenje Induction Acoustic Noise / Coil Vibration

Gorenje induction hob makes unusual loud clicking or high-pitched noise at low power settings.

Possible Causes

Normal magnetostriction in coils, pan base construction, loose mounting of induction coil, resonance at specific power levels

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure cookware is stable and the surface is clean.

  • Try different cookware: Some pans are noisier than others on induction. Test with a different induction-compatible pan.
  • Change power level: Slightly increase or decrease the power setting to move away from the resonant frequency.
  • Check mounting (technician): If noise is excessive, a technician can remove the hob and check that the induction coils are firmly mounted and that any damping pads are in place.

Note: A low-level humming or clicking is normal for induction and not a fault.
