Possible Causes
Dirty burner ports, incorrect injector (jet) size for gas type, regulator or gas pressure issue, misadjusted air shutter on burner
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off all burners and close the gas supply before disassembling burners.
- Clean burner parts: Remove burner caps and heads. Soak in warm soapy water, then clean ports with a soft brush. Ensure all holes are clear and dry thoroughly before reassembly.
- Check cap placement: Refit burner caps correctly; misalignment can cause yellow or noisy flames.
- Verify gas type: Confirm that the hob is configured for your gas type (natural gas vs LPG). Gorenje hobs use different injectors for each. If recently converted, ensure the correct jets were installed.
- Professional adjustment: If flames remain yellow or lift off the burner, a technician should check gas pressure and adjust air shutters or replace injectors as needed.
Warning: Do not attempt to adjust gas regulators or internal gas components unless you are licensed to do so.
