Possible Causes
Stuck keypad button, Moisture behind control panel, Damaged touch membrane, Failed electronic oven control (EOC)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button on the control panel several times to feel for sticking. Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
- Inspect for moisture: If F1 appeared after cleaning or a spill, leave the appliance disconnected for several hours to allow the panel to dry.
- Access control panel: Remove the back cover of the control console. Inspect the keypad ribbon cable and connector for corrosion or damage. Reseat the cable.
- Membrane test: If available, use a keypad tester or substitute a known-good keypad (for models with separate keypad and EOC). If the error clears, replace the keypad or complete control panel assembly.
- Replace EOC: If the keypad is integrated and no physical issues are found, the EOC itself may be faulty and should be replaced with the correct Gram control module.
Warning: Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control panel; spray onto a cloth instead.
