Possible Causes

Aging or drifting oven sensor, Loose sensor connector, Intermittent wiring break, Faulty EOC analog input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains.

  • Wiggle test: With the oven cool and power off, gently move the sensor wiring while measuring resistance. Fluctuating readings indicate an intermittent break; replace the sensor and/or harness.
  • Clean connectors: Disconnect the sensor plug at the rear or at the control board and clean contacts with electrical contact cleaner. Reconnect firmly.
  • Compare resistance vs. temperature: If you have a thermometer, warm the sensor tip in a controlled way (e.g. in warm water, not connected to the oven) and verify that resistance changes smoothly. Replace if erratic.
  • Replace EOC: If the sensor behaves correctly but F4 continues, the EOC may misinterpret the signal and should be replaced.

Warning: Do not immerse the sensor wiring in water; only the metal tip should be exposed during testing.
