Possible Causes
Seized fan motor bearings, Burned-out fan motor winding, Obstruction in fan blades, Faulty fan relay or selector contact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool completely.
- Access fan: Remove the oven's rear interior panel to expose the convection fan and shroud.
- Check for obstructions: Look for loose screws, foil, or food debris blocking the fan. Remove any obstructions.
- Spin test: Try turning the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, the motor likely needs replacement.
- Electrical test: From the rear of the oven, access the fan motor terminals and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace motor: Remove the fan blade and motor mounting screws, then install a new Gram convection fan motor. Ensure the blade is refitted securely.
Warning: Sharp edges inside the oven can cause cuts; wear gloves.
