Possible Causes
Incompatible cookware (non-magnetic), Pan too small for induction zone, Faulty pan detection sensor, Loose coil sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the cooktop surface is cool before handling cookware or cleaning.
- Check cookware: Use flat-bottom, ferromagnetic cookware. Test with a magnet; if it sticks firmly to the base, it is suitable for induction.
- Center the pan: Place the pan in the center of the marked cooking zone. E1 can appear if the pan is off-center or too small.
- Try another pan: If E1 appears only with a specific pan, the pan may be warped or unsuitable.
- Inspect under-glass sensors (advanced): Disconnect power, remove the cooktop glass, and inspect the wiring from the induction coil to the power board. Look for loose connectors or damaged sensors.
- Replace sensor/coil: If wiring is intact but E1 persists on one zone only, replace the induction coil assembly or associated sensor for that zone.
Do not operate the cooktop with cracked glass; this can expose live parts.
