Possible Causes
Failed NTC temperature sensor on power board, Loose sensor connection, Shorted or open sensor wiring, Overheated power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the unit to cool before opening.
- Access electronics: Remove the cooktop from the counter if necessary and remove the bottom cover to access the power board.
- Locate NTC sensor: Identify the small thermistor (NTC) attached to the heat sink or power module. Check that it is firmly attached and not physically damaged.
- Check wiring: Inspect the sensor leads and connector for breaks or corrosion. Reseat the connector.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with service manual specs. If open or shorted, replace the sensor.
- Replace power board: On some Haier models, the sensor is integrated into the power board; in that case, replace the entire induction power module.
Handle electronic boards with care to avoid static damage.
