Possible Causes
Failed oven cooling fan motor, Blocked cooling air vents, Faulty over-temperature thermostat, Control board sensing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. Surfaces may be hot; allow the unit to cool fully.
- Check vents: Ensure that the rear and top vents of the range are not blocked by cabinets, foil, or other obstructions.
- Listen for fan operation: During a bake cycle, the internal cooling fan should run. If it does not, suspect the fan motor or its wiring.
- Access fan: Remove the rear panel to access the cooling fan assembly. Spin the fan blade by hand; it should turn freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor.
- Check thermal cutouts: Locate any high-limit thermostats on the oven top or rear. Test for continuity with a multimeter. Replace any open thermostats with Haier-approved parts.
- Control board: If fan and thermostats test good, the control board may not be powering the fan. Inspect and replace the EOC if necessary.
Do not bypass safety thermostats; they protect against fire and overheating.
