Gas burner on Haier range lights but flame is weak, yellow, or uneven

Safety first: Turn burner OFF and allow it to cool. If you smell strong gas, shut off supply and ventilate.

• Clean burner: Remove the burner cap and head. Soak in warm soapy water, then use a soft brush to clean all ports. Rinse and dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
• Check cap placement: Ensure the cap is properly seated and not rocking.
• Inspect flame: A proper flame is blue with small yellow tips. Large yellow flames indicate too much gas or not enough air.
• Gas type verification: Confirm that the range is configured for your gas type (natural gas or LP). If recently converted, verify that the correct orifices and regulator setting were used.
• Air shutter adjustment (if accessible): Some Haier models have adjustable air shutters on the burner tubes. Slightly open or close the shutter to achieve a stable blue flame.

Gas pressure adjustments and conversions should be performed by a licensed gas technician.
