Possible Causes
Overheated or jammed door lock motor, Warped latch from high heat, Faulty door lock switch, Control not receiving lock feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool completely; the door will not unlock while too hot. Disconnect power before accessing internal parts.
- Wait and reset: After the oven is cool, turn power off for 5 minutes, then back on. Try the cancel/clear function to release the lock.
- Manual release: Remove the top or rear panel to access the door lock mechanism. Manually move the latch to the unlocked position.
- Inspect lock assembly: Check for melted plastic or bent linkage. Replace the door lock motor assembly if it does not move freely.
- Switch and wiring: Test the lock position switch and wiring to the control board. Replace faulty components.
Do not force the door open; this can break the glass or hinges.
