Haier range produces a strong gas smell around burners or oven

Safety first: If you smell strong gas, immediately turn off all burners, do not operate electrical switches, open windows, and shut off the gas supply at the main valve. Evacuate if the smell is intense.

• Leak check: After the area is safe and gas is off, apply a soapy water solution to all accessible gas connections (manifold, regulator, flex line) and slowly turn gas back on. Bubbles indicate a leak.
• Tighten fittings: Carefully tighten leaking fittings with appropriate tools. Do not overtighten and damage threads.
• Inspect flex line: Replace any kinked or damaged gas flex line with an approved replacement.
• Verify conversion: If recently converted between NG and LP, confirm that the correct orifices and regulator settings were used.

If you cannot quickly locate and stop the leak, contact your gas supplier or emergency services. Gas leaks are extremely dangerous.
