Electronic control shows E0 and oven or burners do not respond to touch or knob commands
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power by unplugging it or switching off the circuit breaker. Confirm that all indicator lights are off before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If E0 clears and does not return, it may have been a transient glitch.
- Check supply voltage: Using a multimeter (only if you are trained), verify that the supply at the terminal block matches the rating on the Hansa rating plate (typically 220–240 V). Incorrect voltage can cause communication errors.
- Inspect control wiring: Remove the rear cover behind the control panel. Locate the ribbon cable or harness between the touch control (front glass panel) and the main PCB. Ensure all connectors are fully seated and free of corrosion or burn marks.
- Check for moisture/grease: Look for signs of moisture ingress or grease on the control board and connectors. Dry gently with a hair dryer on low heat at a safe distance and clean light grease with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
- Component replacement: If the wiring is intact and E0 persists, the fault is usually in the touch control panel or the main control board. Replace the Hansa control panel module first if keys are unresponsive; if still faulty, replace the Hansa main control PCB.
Warning: Do not work on live circuits. If you are not comfortable testing live voltage or removing the control panel glass, contact a qualified technician.
