Possible Causes
Stuck membrane key on control panel, Moisture ingress behind glass, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Faulty user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the range from mains power.
- Clean and dry panel: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth. If it was recently cleaned with liquid, allow it to dry for several hours with the door open.
- Check for physical sticking: Press each button individually to feel for sticking or lack of click. Do not use sharp objects to pry buttons.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel cover and check the keypad ribbon cable for kinks, corrosion, or partial insertion. Reseat the cable.
- Replace keypad/UI: If F1 persists, replace the Hansa oven control panel / keypad assembly or the UI PCB, depending on model design.
Warning: Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel; this can force liquid into the keypad and cause permanent damage.
