Possible Causes
Open bake element, Burnt wiring to bake element, Faulty oven relay on control board, Overtemperature event causing element damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power at the breaker before touching any wiring or elements.
- Visual check: Inspect the lower bake element inside the oven for blisters, breaks, or burn marks. Any visible damage means it should be replaced.
- Continuity test: Remove the rear panel, disconnect the element wires, and measure resistance across the element terminals. An open reading indicates a failed element.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burnt or loose wires at the element terminals. Repair with high‑temperature connectors.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are good but no voltage is supplied during bake, the bake relay on the control board may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
