Possible Causes

Open high-limit thermostat or thermal fuse, Blocked cooling vents around oven, Failed cooling fan (for electronic models), Main control board detecting unsafe temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and allow the appliance to cool fully.

  • Check ventilation: Ensure the range has proper clearance on sides and back as per Hisense installation manual. Remove any items blocking rear or bottom vents.
  • Inspect cooling fan (if equipped): Remove the rear panel and locate the oven cavity cooling fan. Spin the fan by hand; it should move freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor. Check for 230 V supply to the fan when the oven is heating (power on test only if you are qualified).
  • Test thermal cutout: Locate the high-limit thermostat or thermal fuse on the top of the oven cavity or rear panel. With power off, test for continuity. If open, replace it with the exact Hisense-rated part.
  • Resettable thermostat: Some models use a resettable thermostat with a small button. Press the button to reset if present, then test operation.
  • Control board: If all safety devices and fan are good, the main control board may be falsely detecting overheat and should be replaced.
