Possible Causes
Cooling fan not running or obstructed, Blocked ventilation grills, Temperature sensor on heat sink faulty, Power module overheating due to poor installation clearance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the cooktop to cool.
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance under the cooktop and that cabinet vents are not blocked. Remove any stored items that restrict airflow.
- Inspect cooling fan: Remove the cooktop from the counter if necessary and access the underside. Check that the fan spins freely and is not clogged with grease or dust. Clean and test. Replace the fan motor if it does not run when zones are active.
- Verify fan connection: Reseat the fan connector on the power module. Check for 230 V supply to the fan when the cooktop is on (qualified persons only).
- Check heat-sink sensor: Some modules have a sensor attached to the heat sink. Ensure it is firmly attached and wiring is intact. Replace if damaged.
- Reinstall correctly: If the cooktop is tightly sealed with no airflow, follow Hisense installation guidelines to provide proper ventilation.
