Possible Causes

Loose or damaged communication cable, Faulty user interface (touch control) board, Defective main power module, Moisture ingress on control connectors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the cooktop from the counter or opening any panels.

  • Dry the unit: If the error appeared after a spill or steam exposure, leave power off and allow the cooktop to dry for several hours. Do not use heat guns directly on electronics.
  • Inspect communication cable: Remove the glass top and locate the cable between the touch control board and the power module. Reseat both ends and check for corrosion or broken conductors.
  • Check for moisture: Look for signs of water around connectors. Gently dry with a lint-free cloth and allow time for complete evaporation.
  • Replace UI board: If the cable is good but the display behaves erratically or buttons do not respond, replace the user interface board.
  • Replace power module: If the UI is working but zones remain dead with E9, the power module may be defective and require replacement.
