Possible Causes
Shorted or stuck touchpad key, Moisture behind glass control panel, Damaged ribbon cable between keypad and control board, Failed user interface board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5–10 minutes, then restore. If F1 clears temporarily, a sticky key or minor glitch may be the cause.
- Clean panel surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel assembly and check the flat ribbon cable for kinks, corrosion, or burns. Reseat the cable firmly into the main control board.
- Check for moisture: If F1 appeared after a boil-over or heavy steam, allow the panel to dry completely before reapplying power.
- Replace touch panel/UI: If a specific key does not respond or is always active, replace the touch control panel or user interface board as a complete assembly.
