Possible Causes

Failed oven temperature sensor, Stuck bake or broil relay on control board, Blocked oven vents, Incorrect rack or foil placement causing heat buildup

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool fully.

  • Check oven use: Remove foil from the oven floor and avoid covering entire racks with foil, which can trap heat. Ensure air can circulate.
  • Inspect vents: Make sure the exhaust vents at the back or top of the range are not blocked by cookware or wall coverings.
  • Test temperature sensor: As with E1/E2, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature. Replace if out of specification.
  • Control board relays: If the oven continues heating even after being turned off, the bake or broil relay may be welded closed. Replace the main control board.
  • Re-test: After repairs, run the oven at 180°C and verify stable cycling without F2 reappearing.
