Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Sensor wires shorted together or to chassis, Moisture in sensor connector, Faulty control board input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before testing.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Remove the sensor from inside the oven and check the wire insulation where it passes through the rear wall. Repair or replace if insulation is damaged.
- Measure resistance: Test the sensor at room temperature. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a short. Replace the sensor.
- Check connector: Dry any moisture and clean corrosion from the sensor connector at the control board.
- Replace control board: If a known-good sensor still results in F3, the main control board's sensor circuit is likely defective and should be replaced.
