Possible Causes
Broken sensor element, Disconnected sensor plug, Cut or burnt sensor wiring, Loose connector at control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before accessing the rear of the range.
- Check sensor connection: Pull the range away from the wall and remove the rear panel. Locate the sensor connector and ensure it is fully seated.
- Test continuity: With the sensor disconnected, measure resistance across its terminals. If the meter shows OL (open), replace the sensor.
- Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, check the harness from the sensor connector to the control board for breaks or burns. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board: If wiring and sensor are intact but F4 persists, replace the main control board.
