Possible Causes
Jammed door latch, Failed door lock motor, Faulty lock position switch, Misaligned door or bent latch hook
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before attempting to manually release the lock.
- Manual release: If the door is locked, remove the top panel and locate the lock mechanism. Manually move the lock rod to release the door.
- Inspect latch and hook: Check the door latch hook for bending or damage. Replace if worn or bent.
- Test lock motor and switches: As with F5, test continuity of the motor and switches. Replace the entire lock assembly if any component is faulty.
- Door alignment: Adjust door hinges so the door closes squarely and the latch engages fully.
- Control board: If the lock assembly is new and correctly installed but F9 persists, the main control board may not be driving the lock correctly and should be replaced.
