Possible Causes
Overheated or jammed lock motor, Warped latch from high temperature, Faulty lock position switch, Control board not sending unlock signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the oven to cool completely; the door will not unlock while too hot.
- Wait and power reset: After the oven is cool, turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore. Sometimes the lock will reset and unlock.
- Manual release: Remove the top panel and manually move the lock rod to the unlock position.
- Inspect lock assembly: Check for melted plastic or bent metal parts. Replace the door lock assembly if damaged.
- Control board: If the lock mechanism is free but does not receive power to unlock, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
