Possible Causes
Stuck fan relay on control board, Shorted fan triac, Faulty temperature sensor reading high, Wiring short between fan supply and live
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the control board.
- Allow cooling: Ensure the oven is completely cool; some models keep the fan running until a safe temperature is reached.
- Sensor check: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature. If it reads as if hot (very low resistance), replace it.
- Inspect control board: Look for a relay stuck closed or burnt on the PCB. If the fan relay contacts are welded, replace the Hotpoint-Ariston control board.
- Wiring inspection: Check for any modifications or damaged wiring that could be feeding the fan directly from live.
