Oven interior light and fan turn on when the door is opened, but the oven does not start cooking when a program is selected.

Safety: Normal checks can be done with power on; internal work requires power off.

• Set clock: Many Hotpoint-Ariston ovens will not heat until the clock is set. Set the correct time and retry.
• Check timer mode: Ensure the oven is in manual mode, not in a delayed start or automatic end program. Cancel any active timers.
• Disable demo mode: If the oven appears to run but does not heat, consult the manual to exit demo mode.
• Programmer fault: If settings are correct but no heating occurs, the programmer's relay outputs may have failed and the module should be replaced.
