Possible Causes
Blown oven bulb, Faulty lamp holder, Broken lamp glass causing corrosion, Failed lamp switch or relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power before changing the bulb to avoid electric shock.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a high-temperature oven lamp of the correct wattage and base type specified by Hotpoint-Ariston.
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for signs of burning or corrosion in the lamp holder. Replace the holder if contacts are damaged.
- Door switch: If the light is door-activated, test the door switch for continuity when pressed. Replace if faulty.
- Control issue: If the lamp is controlled by the electronic board and does not respond to the light button, the board's lamp relay may be defective and require replacement.
