Possible Causes
Blown internal thermal fuse, Tripped overheat thermostat, Faulty main relay on control board, Loose connection at terminal block or neutral link
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect mains power before removing covers.
- Check terminal block: Inspect the mains terminal block at the rear of the range for burnt or loose connections. Tighten or replace as needed.
- Test thermal devices: Locate any thermal fuses or overheat thermostats in series with the elements. Test for continuity and replace any open devices with the correct Hotpoint-Ariston parts.
- Control relay: Inspect the main heating relay on the control board for signs of burning. If faulty, replace the control board.
- Verify supply voltage: Ensure that both live legs (on 230/400 V systems) are present at the appliance; a missing phase can cause no heat.
