Oven temperature is consistently too high or too low compared to the set temperature.

Safety: Allow the oven to cool and disconnect power before accessing internal components.

• Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the cavity and compare actual temperature to the setpoint over several cycles.
• Check door seal: Inspect the Hotpoint-Ariston door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression. Replace if damaged.
• Sensor test: Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor at room temperature and compare to specifications. Replace if out of range.
• Calibration (if available): Some models allow temperature offset adjustment via the user menu. Follow the user manual to adjust by the measured difference.
• Control board: If calibration and sensor replacement do not correct the issue, the control board may be misreading and should be replaced.
