Broil element does not heat, but bake works normally.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before servicing.

Steps to check:

• Inspect broil element: Look for visible breaks or blisters on the upper element.
• Continuity test: Disconnect power, remove the broil element, and test for continuity. Replace if open.
• Check wiring: Inspect wires and terminals at the broil element for heat damage. Repair or replace as needed.
• Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the broil relay on the EOC may be defective. Replace the EOC.

Tip: Some models share wiring harnesses; ensure connectors are fully seated after reassembly.
