Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before accessing controls.

Steps to check:

Identify suspect burner: Turn each burner on and off one at a time to see if the indicator behavior changes; often one switch is responsible.
Access switches: Remove the rear control panel cover and locate the infinite switches.
Test switches: Using the wiring diagram, identify the indicator contacts on each switch. Test for continuity with all burners OFF; the contacts should be open. Replace any switch with stuck contacts.
Wiring: Inspect wiring to the indicator lamp for shorts or miswiring from prior repairs.

Note: A stuck indicator does not usually affect heating, but it can mask real ON conditions; repair promptly.
